8-day long Summer Camp at DPS Jammu concluded

Jammu, June 11: An 8-day long Summer Camp at DPS Jammu concluded today with special assembly, art exhibition, Students Vs Teachers friendly match and a cooling Rain Dance. Around 450 Campers learned many new things during the Summer Camp through their participation in several activities , sports and clubs such as Theatre, Music, Swimming, NCC, Prayas Club, Eco Club, IT Club, English Conversation, Pottery & Clay modeling, Stitching, Cook without Fire, Shooting, Basket Ball, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Speed Ball, Badminton, Skating, Taekwondo, Art & Craft. Additionally, students of Eco Club visited Manda Zoo to study various features of Flora & Fauna and animal habitats. They also took an active part in the World Environment Day activities including Plantation Drive. Further, literacy & vocational classes were also organized for around 45 children from the marginalized sections of the society by NCC students and the school faculty. They were also involved in theatre, yoga, music, rain dance, Art & Craft and presenting assemblies on the school stage. Their 'Choir' performance and Skit presentation on-'Say No to Drugs' during the function won much applause. During the said function, Kashish Choudhary, NCC Cadet of class XII presented a report on Prayas Club activities, while Ms. Saniya Malik and Ms. Tanvi Gupta presented a detailed report on the Summer Camp for the school students. The teachers and students were felicitated with certificates.
