| JKTF seeks delinking of salaries of SSA from central budget, holds protest | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 13: Demanding delinking of salary from central budget to state budget the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) held a peaceful sit in Dharna at Srinagar.
The protest was held under the leadership of Abdul Qayoom Wani and State General Secretary Ganesh Khajuria against the callous attitude of the State Govt. regarding delinking of salary from Central budget to State budget of RET's, RRET's and Head teachers working under SSA scheme and implementation of 7th pay commission in their favor also.
In the protest Dharna many hundreds Teachers and Masters participated enmass of raise their voice against the casual approach of the Govt. regarding grievances being confronted by the RET's, RRET's, Head Teachers under SSA & RMSA schemes who are at the verge of starvation due to misinterpretation of these schemes leading to wrong implementation resulting into the unnecessary harassment and mental trauma for no fault of their.
Later on Police resort to lathicharge at peaceful gathering and JKTF Chairman Jb. A.Q. Wani, State General Secretary Ganesh Khajuria, Subash Sharma Distt President Kathua, Sanjeev Sharma Distt. Secretary Kathua, 10+2 Lecturers Forum President Dr. Manjoor Ahmed, Kuldeep Bandral Secretary, Peer Nissar J&K Publicity Secretary JKTF & many others were taken into custody by Kashmir police & taken them to unknown place.
Others JKTF leaders of the state criticized the Govt. attitude while handling with the leaders sit at peaceful protest and warned to desist from such suppressing polices instead of resolving the genuine demands. The leaders vowed to continue to struggle till it reach logical conclusion. |
