PSA slapped on hard core criminal/history sheeter

Jammu, June 13: Tightening grip over criminals by dealing them with iron hands in Sub Division RS Pura, another hard core criminal/ History Sheeter has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) who was involved in 06 criminal cases.
Acting on the dossier of police, District Magistrate (DM) Jammu granted orders vide his office order No.06/2018 dated 09-06-2018 regarding detention of said criminal under PSA.
Police identified the notorious criminal as Bunny Gupta of ward no. 04 RS Pura District Jammu who has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA).
Police sources said that he was involved in 06 criminal cases out of which 03 registered at RS Pura police station, 01 at Miran Sahib police station and 02 at Akhnoor police station making in all total 06 cases of heinous nature registered against him.
Recently the said accused arrested by Police of Akhnoor police station in snatching of Rupees 8 lacs approximately in a case under FIR No. 78/2018 under sections 341/323/382 of RPC, 3/25 Arms Act.
Since the accused was involved in number of attempt to murder cases, kidnapping, snatching and illegal possession of Arms and his presence in society was quite dangerous, said police spokesman.
Keeping into consideration/above facts, subsequently the dossier was prepared and submitted to District Magistrate, Jammu through proper channel.
The PSA warrant was executed after making hectic/ sincere efforts and the criminal has been lodged at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu. The PSA warrant was executed by Police party headed by SI Ved Parkash under the close supervision of Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SHO RS Pura, Sourabh Prashar, JKPS, SDPO RS Pura, RC Kotwal, JKPS, SP Hqrs, Jammu & overall supervision of Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu. The inhabitants of the area appreciated the action taken by the Police against another hard core criminal/ History Sheeter.
