Udhampur, June 13: Non functional street lights of Udhampur not only have been a cause of worry for the residents but have affected business as well.
Repeated complaints to authority have yielded no results so far ."Most of the street lights in Udhampur are not functioning, despite repeated reminders to the concerned officials,".
Many Years ago Udhampur municipality installed high moist lights in every chowk as well in streets of the City but now maximum lights are non- functional .
The defunct street lights have become a security threat for the common masses . People are scared of going out in the dark thus business is also affected. Surinder Singh Khalsa President Bapyour Mandal said that the Street Lights as well as Chowk Light are defunct from many months. He sought remedial mrasures. |
