| Casual Labour working as supervisor in PHE | | |

Poonch, June 19: As Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has engaged need based casual labours and daily wagers employees to meet the shortage of employees, the department has appointed some of the influential casual labours as supervisor of the department. According to the sources there is a casual labour employee who has been engaged as supervisor in mechanical wing of PHE department at Dhara-Fatehpur water supply scheme. The casual labours and daily wagers engaged along with him have refused to work as his subordinates due to which people of the area are suffering a lot. Locals including Mohd Iqbal, Khadam Hussain, Khalid Hussain and many others have said, people are deprived of drinking water and Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer have made the system defunct.
They alleged that officers have some personal interests with that employee who is deliberately disturbing the locals. They have appealed to chief engineer of the department to take appropriate action against the negligent officials. |
