| Police arrest main accused of beating mother-daughter duo | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 21: Police claims to have arrested main accused wanted in the case of merciless beating of mother-daughter duo from a hideout in Mahreen tehsil of district Kathua in the midnight.
A video of the merciless beating of mother-daughter went viral on social media. The main accused identified as Pawan Kumar alias Pamma son of Dwarka Nath, resident of Tandwal Crusher Morh Rajouri was wanted in case FIR 307/2018 registered on June 13 under sections 452/354/325/323/34/RPC.
The case was registered after a mother - daughter duo living at Crusher Morh Rajouri in Tandwal village reported to police that were beaten mercilessly by their neighbours over some issue.
Soon after committing the crime, the accused also fled away after locking their house.Two days back a video of the incident also went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, last evening, police received a specific input about the main accused hiding in a hideout in Kathua in Mahreen tehsil.
On the directions of SSP Rajouri and with the help of Kathua police, a team of Rajouri police raided the hideout in the midnight and arrested the accused when he was trying to escape outside the state. The accused was brought to Rajouri and after legal formalities has been remanded to police custody.
Attempts are going on to arrest other accused named in the FIR. |
