Early Times Report

Anantnag, June 23, 2018: Parts of Kashmir including Mehbooba Mufti's home town Bijbehara Saturday observed a complete shutdown against the killing of four ISIS militants.
The four slain militants of Islamic State were gunned down by the security forces in an encounter on Friday morning in Nowshera village of Anantnag. In the operation, 1 SPO deployed with SOG Anantnag and a civilian (House owner Mohd Yousf Rather) were also killed in the initial exchange of fire. Over dozen stone-pelters suffered injuries during the gunfight.
Reports said that shops, business establishments and traffic remained off from the roads in Bijbehara, Srigufwara and other areas of Anantnag district. While as in some areas of Pulwama and Srinagar shutdown was observed.
The separatist camp in a bid to distance itself from Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir militant group did not ask people to observe shutdown. However several areas of Kashmir challenged the authority of Hurriyat leadership and observed shutdown.
Former Chief Minister Mehboob Mufti's hometown Bijbehara was also among the areas that observed shutdown. Mehbooba as Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and other including National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah used to say that ISIS has no presence in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, an audio clip of slain ISIS Commander Bilal Sofi from Srinagar has gone viral on social media. The slain commander in it has requested his parents and friends not to allow Hurriyat leaders to attend his funeral prayers or visit his home for condolences.
"They (Hurriyat Leaders) have sold our blood and sacrifices of our martyrs. They should not be allowed to attend my funeral this is my wish," slain ISIS commander can be heard saying in the video.
