| Jan visits DH Poonch, highlights unstable stage of vital health unit | | |  Early Times Report
POONCH, June 23: Castigating BJP-PDP led previous state government for its complete failure to upgrade existing health sector in border district Poonch, National Conference today highlighted the pathetic and unstable functioning of District Hospital Poonch underlining the need to undertake series of works.
Provincial President of Youth NC Jammu, Ajaz Jan issued the statement after conducting a visit of Poonch District Hospital.
Interacting with media persons during his visit to District Hospital Poonch, Ajaz Jan said that previous Government has derailed the working of health department in Poonch district and the sector is passing through a much-ill stage.
Listing the loopholes present in DH Poonch due to poor concern and callous approach by Health Ministers in previous government, Jan said that there is shortage of doctors in hospital and same is the case with other health units of Poonch district.
Same is the condition in other health units where overall functioning of health units is badly affected due to shortage of doctors, he added.
"CT scan machine was provided in Poonch district hospital but radiologist has not been posted while the post of ENT specialist is also lying vacant," said Jan.
Jan also threw light on the shortage of medicines besides mentioning about poor and bad conditions of canteen in hospital.
"Ambulances are in very bad shape, drivers not paid salary since months," Jan said accusing PDP-BJP's previous government for pushing health sector of Poonch district to wall. |
