| SPS warns public to keep away from river Chenab | | | Early Times Report
REASI, June 28: The general public is hereby informed that in order to maintain the Dam and Power House of Salal Power Station (SPS) and to retain the water at a required level, the water level of Chenab River can increase or decrease at any point of time in between 6 am to 6 pm on June 30. Hence, everybody residing besides the Upstream and downstream of Salal Dam is requested not to venture near the river bank. They should also avoid their cattle and their trucks going to the river side. This co-operation will support to save the general public and their belongings.
After the issue of this notice, Salal Power Station authorities will not be responsible for any kind of loss incurred to life or commodity.
The Station authorities urged the people to co-operate and share and spread this information amongst the village community. |
