J&K Grameen Bank organizes D-FLAP at village Ratnal

JAMMU, June 28:Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department in collaboration with NABARD organized Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (D-FLAP) in village Ratnal (unbanked area) under the branch office Sarore, Kheri and Kanhal. The programme was organized on the occasion of a deity's function at Dati Todi temple situated in the village Ratnal.
Janak Raj Angural, chairman J&K Grameen Bank, was the chief guest on the occasion. He informed the participants regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM cards, Mobile banking etc. He impressed upon the participants not to use any middle man from availing any benefit from the bank and approach the bank branch directly. He laid emphasis on adoption of social security schemes launched by the union government on war footing; that shall ameliorate the lot of unorganized sector hat remain deprived from such facilities.
Vipan Gupta, senior manager MF&FI Department J&K Grameen bank, highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset changes towards cash to cashless economy, we are nurturing environment of transformation across our clientele, structures, systems, processes and skills in the bank as a whole. As part of customer-centric approach, our staff has aligned them better with the evolving customer needs so that the GOI initiatives on a shift to cashless economy are achieved. Besides the huge gathering, sarpanchs, panchs and women of the area and other dignitaries of the villages were also present during the occasion.
