BLSKS presents 217th Musical Play

JAMMU, July 14: To promote the rich traditional culture of J&K and aware the masses, the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production staged 217th Saturday series Musical Play "HAR HAR MAHADEV" at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. The programe was inaugurated by Chief Guest Rakesh Koul, Officer Incharge , Tourism Department, Durga Parkash , Senior artits of Regional Outreach Bureau and staff of Yatri Bhawan were present on the occasion. The main attraction of the programe was renowned singer of the state Zulekha Farid, Usha Handoo, Kamli Devi, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta.
The Traditional folk culture of Jammu province and specially awareness items prepared on the theme on " Beti Bachao Beti Padao" & "Swatchh Bharat", were presented. The Specials items prepared on the theme sung by the artist like " Bam Bam Bhole Mahadev Ki Karte Jai Jai Kar Suno", " Koun Kare Teri Arti Bhole Ji" , " Shiv Nath Teri Mahima " " Shiv Satuti", " Pado padyao sab ge loko jagte bi padyao munde kudiya ek braber jan jan eiye Samjayo" , " Hath maape da sire pur ginde oye tarikiyan pande ne sabne thar na e unda rab di kirpa pande ne " , "Jai Jai Shiv Shanker" , "Zapoon Tero Naam Shiv Ji" , " Shiv Nath Teri Mahima" , " Mera Bhola Na Mane " , "Shaher Shaher aur Gaon-Gaon main sab nain shapat uthai hai" , "Swachh Bharat Ho Swasth Bharat" and the music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, music instructor BLSKS. Earlier in his address of ML Dogra, Chairman , BLSKS said the cave which was chosen by Bhole Shankar for narrating the secrets of immortality and creation of Universe to Maa Parvati ji. The story goes like these centuries ago Maa Parvati asked Shiv ji to let her know why and when he started wearing the beads of heads (Mund Mala). Bhole Shankar replied whenever you are born I add one more head in my beads .
Maa Parvati said," my lord, my body is destroyed every time and I die again and again, but you are Immortal.
Please let me know the secret of this Bhole Shankar replied that it is due to Amar Katha. Goddess Parvati listening to the story and she fell asleep, whose Shiva did not know. Lord Shiva continued to tell the story of being immortal.
