SP Rural organizes police-public meeting at Akhnoor

Jammu, July 14: Dushyant Sharma-SP Rural Jammu has convened a PCPG meeting today at TRC-Akhnoor with the prominent/senior and other respectable citizens of Akhnoor town and its adjoining areas in which approximately 80/90 respectable participated. DySP Munish Anand-SDPO-Akhnoor, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh-SHO Akhnoor also participated in the said meeting. The main aim and objective behind conducting such kind of meeting was to hear and redress the genuine grievances of the people of these areas being faced them in their day to day life. A thread bear discussion were held with the participants of the meeting especially with regard to keeping the main bazaar free from parking of vehicles and reharies, settlement of land disputes, keeping bazaar free from stray-animals due to which chances of road accident are increasing, eve-teasing, security of minorities, stopping the menace of alcoholism, surveillance over drug paddlers and bovine smugglers, present security scenario, maintenance of law and order etc.
They were advised that in case of any problem or having any clue about the drug paddlers, bovine smugglers, anti-national, anti-social elements or any other security related issues and the same should be brought into the notice of concerned Police Station of the area for immediate action.
They were further advised that prominent persons/youth of the area should keep vigil over the drug consuming youth for their rehabilitation through various drug de-addiction centers. Furthermore, they were advised to immediately brought to the notice of territorial officers besides concerned Police Station if any incident of bovine smuggling happens for taking legal action against the culprits, instead of taking law in their own hands to avoid any kind of communal tension/law and order problem. They were further advised to remain extra vigilant in their respective areas keeping in view the ongoing Shri Amar Nath Ji yatra and upcoming Shri-Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra so as to check any kind of anti-national/anti-social activities as well as to forestall the nefarious designs of these elements. The participants were heard very patiently and were also advised to educate the youth to follow traffic rules by avoiding rash driving, using of crash helmet while driving two wheelers, possessing of valid documents like driving license, RC etc. and cooperate with local Police.
