| CEO initiates action against 2 ZEOs | | |

UDHAMPUR July 20: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur has issued notice to Principal HSS Ramnagar, Rashpal Singh who is presently officiating as ZEO Ramnagar and Pritam Dass, ZEO Udhampur for violation of government order.
Sources said that Director School Education Jammu has ordered transfer of Subash Chander and Geeta Devi, both Head Assistants with endorsement from the CEO Udhampur office but Rashpal Singh and Pritam Dass failed to get the transfers endorsed and relieved the officials.
The CEO Udhampur has asked these ZEOs to clear their position failing which disciplinary action will be taken against them.
It is pertinent to inform that schools in Udhampur and Ramnagar areas are facing scarcity of staff.
"Many people manage transfers after offering graft to the officers," a local said adding that all this is spoiling education of their children. |
