3 day Annual Sarthal Devi Yatra begins

Kishtwar, July 20: Traditional 3 day Annual Yatra of Shri Ashtadash Bhuja Mata commonly known as Sarthal Devi Ji Yatra began with great religious fervor and gaiety early this morning by organizing hawan at Gori Shankar Mandir, Sarkoot in which a number of couples offered the "Aahuti and Puran Aahuti (culmination)".
As per the details, a large number of people from Muslim community today welcome the Shoba Yatra of Annul Sarthal Dev Yatra at Bus Stand Kishtwar and great the people from Hindu community and the Sarthal Devi management on this occasion.
The community representatives kept waiting for the reception of the Shoba Yatra and conveyed the strong message of unity among the people of both the communities to fanatic and communal elements who want to divide the people on the name of religious by soaking seeds of hatred.
While talking to "Early Times" Firdous Ahmed Mingnoo said that both the communities have been living together with peace and communal since years together and added that despite the fact that several attempts were made by divisive forces, they fails to break the bond of love and affection between the two communities strengthened with each passing day.
He said that the bond of love and affection witness between the two communities today gives a clear message to divisive forces that people of both the communities in Kishtwar are together and will not fall in their trap anymore.
Meanwhile three days annual Shoba yatra of Mata Ashta Dash Bhuja (Goddess with eighteen arms) commonly known as Sarthal Devi Mata falling on Harshudi Ashtimi and Navami according to the lunar calendar to mark the Birth anniversary of Goddess started on high note today in which large number of people from different parts of Kishtwar district assembled at Ghori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot where Hawan, Bhajan, Kirtan and other religious ceremonies were performed. After performing special prayers at Ghori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot from where the Yatra precedes on its further journey towards Sarthal Devi temple situated in Sarthal village of Kishtwar District some 25 KM from District Headquarter Kishtwar. The Chhare of Sarthal Devi left the Ghori Shankar Mandir this afternoon under the chairmanship of Sanjeev Parihar, Vice Chairman Sarthal Devi ji management council Kishtwar which after passing through various Bazars of Kishtwar District reached Bus Stand Kishtwar from where the devotees started further journey on buses.
More than 50000 devotees are expected to visit the temple during next 3 days to pay obeisance at the temple of Goddess to seek her blessing.
The Yatra was taken up to bus stand under tight security cover led by ACR Kishtwar Indeerjeet Parihar and ASP Kishtwar Parbeet Singh accompanied by Dy. SP Nihar Ranjan, Tehsildar Kishtwar Shokat Hayat Mattoo along with others also remain present and deal with security of the Shoba Yatra. On this occasion government has already announced two days holiday in entire District of Kishtwar.
As per Sarthal Devi management, the management has made arrangements for evening meals along with night stay free of cost at Mandir Bhawan. The management officials said that Chandi Hawan which started 3 days earlier will be concluded tomorrow. After Bhajan-Kirtan, Prasad will be served to all yatries and thereafter the Yatra will left the temple and started back journey to Kishtwar on 22nd July 2018 itself.
