JK Grameen Bank conducts Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan

Baramulla, July 27: Jammu and AKshmir Grameen Bank conducted Government of India's campaign "Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan"at village Laduladoora (unbanked area) under the Branch Office-Rohama, Regional Office Baramulla.
Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department in collaboration of Regional Office Baramulla under the Chairamanship of Janak Raj Angural conducted this Abhiyaan in the remote village Laduladoora at Government High School Ladhoora under the Branch Office- Rohama.
Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager MFFI Department JKGB was the chief guest on the occasion, advised all the braches falling in his region to enroll more and more person under the social security schemes so that the poor and unreachable population may also get the benefits of these schemes. He highlights that Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan Phase 2 started from 01 June 2018 to 15 August 2018 conducting in 187 villages of Regional Office Baramulla and Kupwara. He highlights that in 56 days the bank has enrolled 30442 enrollments under the GOI Social Security Schemes viz., PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY.
Regional Manager Bramulla, GR Bhat highlighted that the programme mainly focuses on to enrol more and more individuals under these Social Security Schemes viz., Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). People in hundreds attendant the camp and atleast 250 enrolments was done during the programme. The masses was also about technological innovations in banking industry including NEFT/ RTGS, Online Banking, IMPS, SMS Banking, Rupay Card, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System & Direct Benefit Transfer and others to promote the digital banking and move towards the less-cash economy.
Masooda, Bega Begum and Shamima from ICDS Centre, were also present during the campaign of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan.They also aware the people regarding the social security schemes. They have requested the locals to make use of these schemes. They appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social security schemes a big success. He aware the gathering about these schemes and requested them to enroll under these social security schemes.
Local dignities Mohammad Suleman and Abdul Rashid Bhat including Sarpanchs and Panchs aware the people about the Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan a GOI programme for covering the poor population in the villages of Districts Baramulla.
They also advise the Bank Staff for door to door banking under this campaign so that everyone should get benefit.
