Pr Secy Health reviews issues raised in DDB meeting

JAMMU, July 27: Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education Dr Pawan Kotwal today took review of the issues raised during District Development Board meeting chaired by Governor N N Vohra here on Thursday.
All the issues were discussed threadbare including availability of ARV, Anti snake, vaccine for Diphtheria, Medicine, Equipment, upgradation of Various health institution, Ambulances, ISM dispensary at Paloura, medical Block Suchetgarh, blood bank for RS Pura, de-addiction Centre GMC Jammu, ATR of Joint house Committee recommend actions, Maternal Death Review issue of SMGSH,etc .
Dr Kotwal laid stress on the strict adherence to the guidelines of Pollution control board like proper segregation of BMW and on the spot disposal of sharp waste by using advance techniques.
Calling for strict discipline, he stressed on enforcing punctuality, regularity & dedicated services by the health staff at hospitals. He asked the doctors to prescribe drugs with Generic name /salt, do not leave the station of posting to avoid stalling of patient care .
The meeting was attended by Principal GMC Jammmu, Dy Director Health services HQ, Schemes, Dy Director ISM,Dy Director dentistry, CMO Jammu, Medical Supdt,Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Sarwal , Medical Supdt Associated hospital, staff Officers of Directorate BMOs of Jammu District.
Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary along with Dy Director Health services HQ visited SDH Bishnah and inspected newly constructed building of Hospital, emergency, medicine store, X-ray, etc. They interacted with Doctors /staff and issue instructions to stay at station to ensure treatment to patient with out any delay. The BMO was instructed to conduct drug audit of store on regular intervals for ensuring proper utility of available drugs .
Dr Kotwal was informed that hospital has sufficient stock of medicine. He also visited Border PHC Arnia & expressed his satisfaction over its functioning. He directed to find Doctors for couple posting at Arnia to further boost Health care services in the hospital.
