GDC Kathua students complete 100 hours internship

Kathua, July 28: Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Programme organized by students of GDC Kathua concluded at village Nihalpur today with the presentation of a Nukad Natak in Middle School Nihalpur.
In this programme 100 hours of service was provided by the interns in village Nihalpur. Students concluded door to door campaigns for awarding the residents of the village regarding stoppage of open defecation .
Banners, Slogan writings on walls, paintings, Nukkad Nataks, Cleaniliness Drives, and preparation of compost pits were the main highlights of the 100 hours internship programme conducted by interns of GDC Kathua. Principal of the college Prof. Kartar Chand who was the Chief Guest on the concluding day , appreciated the efforts of the interns for working tirelessly in awarding the masses through various activities. He said that the students of the college who participated in internship programme not only helpful in creating awareness among the masses but also developed their personalities through various interactions.
Prof. Rakesh Singh , Nodal Officer of the Summer Internship Programme gave a detail of the Summer Internship Programme launched by MHRD.
The students were led by Jeewan Jyoti Semester IVth student of college. Prof Anirudh Sharma along with large number of students and teachers of Middle School Nihalpur were today present and appreciated the efforts of students.
