  MENDHAR, Aug 7: Residents of  Chattral  of Mendhar Sub Division  in  frontier district of Poonch are up in arms against the government for failing to construct a bridge over Chattral  Nallah as many persons have drowned in the Nallah during past  years. Local told Early Times cause away   placed on Chattral  Nallah  to have become a death trap and many persons have lost their lives after falling into the gushing waters on the same spot. This temporary crossing poses a grave threat to the residents. "At least 1000 villagers of hamlets like  Chattral  Jughal kalaban Noral ,  Bhatidhar , and  daily use these cause away  to cross this dangerous stream emanating from the   Dana  Shastar covered  mountain peaks of  Kalaban  they said.  "In absence of the bridge residents including children, women and elderly people are forced to walk over these  cause  away  These   cause away are in awfully bad condition and become dangerous and  during rainy season. We are more concerned about the safety of our children who use these cause away to daily to go to reach their educational institution, shops and bus stand which is located on the other side of the Nallah" said  Rameez Raja  Chairman Press Council of Mendhar Poonch. |
