Four OGWs of HM booked under PSA

Rajouri, Aug 30: Four Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Hizbul Mujhadin militant outfit, who were involved in a Hawala racket in Rajouri district, have been booked and detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) by Rajouri Police.
Police identified the detained OGWs as Sajjad Ahmed Malla resident of Maldera Tehsil Chetragam District Shopian, Mohd Arif resident of Kotli Bagla, District Rajouri, Khurshid Ahmed Thokar alias Tujmal resident of Hiffkuri, Tehsil Chatragam District Shopian and Ajaz Ahmed Sofi alias Ghazi Baba resident of Bun Bazar Batapora, District Shopian.
A dossier in this regard was submitted before District Magistrate Rajouri by Superintendent of Police Rajouri-Yougal Manhas and District Magistrate issued order for booking them under PSA.
It is pertinent to mention here that these OGWs were arrested by Rajouri Police on 12th of May, 2018 along with Rs. 1 lac Hawala money to be delivered to HM outfit in District Shopian, for which a case under FIR No 250/2018 under sections 13/18/20/21 Unlawful Activities Act (ULA), 120-B of RPC was registered in Police Station Rajouri.
Police spokesman said that during investigation of case, it came to fore that these OGWs were in constant touch with Saddam Paddar and Zeenat-Ul-Islam, Commanders of HM outfit, who motivated them to visit Rajouri to bring Hawala money and made hideouts viz-a-viz motivate youths in a bid to revive militancy.
However, before they could cause any damage in furtherance to their mission, the network of the OGWs was smashed by Rajouri Police and all of them were arrested.
Meanwhile, after order issued by DM Rajouri, all of them were detained under Public Safety Act and lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu today by a Police team led by SI Mohd Naseer under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Rajouri Govind Rattan and Additional SP Rajouri Mohd Yousaf.
