Govt. SPMR College Celebrates International Youth Day 2018

Jammu, Aug 30: Govt. S.P.M.R. College of Commerce organized two day function on International Youth Day 2018 in collaboration with J&K State Aids Control Society (Department of Health & Medical Education). The theme of the function was "Safe Spaces for Youth".
Prof. Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu was the chief Guest on the occasion. She said that the youth is the voice of today and tomorrow and added that it is moral responsibility of the faculty to make the society educated. Prof. P.K. Sharma, Principal SPMR College and Deepika B Thakur were the Guest of Honour . The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The prize distribution of Rangoli, Slogan Writing, Poster making and symposium were also held.
In Rangoli Competition, first prize was bagged by Mohinder Kumar of GGM Science College, second and third prize was won by Gunjan Bhatia of SPMR College and Vaishalli Mangotra of Law School, University of Jammu respectively. In slogan Writing, first prize was bagged by Prerna Arora of SPMR College, second and third was won by Muskan Sawhney of GGM Science College and Parminder Kour of Govt. College of Education respectively. In poster making, first position was bagged by Parshotum Sharma of Law School University of Jammu. Second and third positions were bagged by Ritika Sharma of GCW Parade Jammu and Priya Koul of Women Polytechnic Jammu. In Symposium first prize was bagged by Jasneet Kour of Bee Enn .College of Nursing. Second and third positions were bagged by Kanika Sharma of GCW Gandhinagar and Ayush Sharma of GGM Science College.
Those who graced the occasion included Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Poonam Dhawan Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Chanchal Sharma, Ex-Principal SPMR College, Ms. Deepika Thakur Deputy Director, Prof.Neeraj Sharma.
