BJP's 'Mission Kargil': Expenditure Rs 10 Crores, Seat One
Raina-Koul duo responsible for party's debacle
9/1/2018 10:48:58 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 1: Notwithstanding celebrations of the party, BJP's much publicized 'Mission Kargil' turned out to be a damp-squib because party won only one seat that too from a Buddhist dominated areas. BJP was expecting to win atleast 10 seats and it was all due to such high hopes that party had deputed all senior leaders for the campaigning.
Ravinder Raina-Ashok Koul duo, which has completely made all party leaders irrelevant, is solely responsible for failure of the'Mission Kargil' because all decisions were taken by both of them.
Credible sources said that an amount worth Rs 10 crore was pumped for 'Mission Kargil' because state leadership had assured the central leadership that party was going to create history in Kargil this time.
Sources said that it was all due to assurance of state leadership that the high-command had managed adequate resources and financial support for the elections.
Credible sources said that instead of taking local leadership of Kargil into confidence Raina-Koul duo had completely controlled elections and not allowed any local worker to take any decision in this regard.
On July 21, 20 BJP workers from Kargil had quitted party, blaming Ashok Koul for promoting sycophants and yes-men in the party.
23 senior leaders of BJP including vice president, spokesperson and general secretary had submitted their resignation to party general secretary organization Ashok Kaul at Tourist Facilitation Centre Kargil.
A delegation led BJP Kargil spokesperson Subhan jaffery had met Kaul and submitted their resignations
