| Hunger strike of JKRETTF enters day 5 | | |  Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 14. Hunger strike by JKRETTF today entered 5th day in front of District Development Commissioner's office Rajouri. Pertinent to mention here is that the teachers tagged as SSA teachers are on hunger strike demanding the implementation of 7th pay commission from last four days. Chairman JKRETTF Farooq Ahmed Tantray and State General Secretary Jahangir Alam Khan also sat with the teachers. Various trade unions, leaders of mainstream political parties including MLA Rajouri Qamar Chaudhary, National Conference District President Shafiyat Khan, Distt Youth President NC Qadir Khan, Distt Vice President PDP Jamshed Chaudhary,Pt Prem Nath Sharma. Veteran Trade Union Leader and civil society came in support of these teachers and urged Governor to intervene and put an end to the miseries of teachers. District President JKRETTF Aftab Tantray urged the authorities to consider the genuine demand of agitating teachers. Spokesman JKRETTF Rajouri elaborated that 7th Pay Commission is the genuine right of all employees and depriving a chunk of teachers is violation of human rights and urged for early redressal. |
