Panun Kashmir observes September 14 as Balidan Diwas

Jammu, Sept 14: Panun Kashmir observed 14th September as "Balidan Diwas" by way of floral tributes to all those who who became victims of Pak sponsored proxy war and terrorist violence in Kashmir including the members of our valiat security forces. The programme was held under the Chairmanship of Virender Raina Chairman Political Affairs Committee and the prominent who attended the function included Kamal Bagati ,Upinder Koul, P.K.Bhan,Sameer Bhatt ,Vijay Saproo, Santosh Sharma, Pramod Durrani, Shiban Ji Bhatt and Ashok Chrungoo. Virender Raina said that it was on this very day that Pt.Tika Lal Taploo was martyred on the streets of Kashmir and the day has come to symbolise the resolve and resistance of the Kashmiri Pandits against the genocide perpetrated on them. Virender Raina while recalling the horror of the dark days when prominent Kashmiri Pandits were selectively killed and hounded out of their abodes of more than 5000 years. Raina added that such an instance of genocide, ethnic cleansing and exodus is unparalleled in the modern history.
He said that the theo-fascist terror has taken Kashmir in its deadly embrace yet the Kashmiri Pandits are determined to fight back and secure a separate Homeland for 7.5 lakh Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir with free flow of Indian constitution and human values. He also said that Kashmiri Pandits have faced political and administrative neglect and apathy even after suffering exodus from the valley. The economic and livelihood issues of the community continue to be dragged endlessly in the corridors of power.
On the occasion a holocaust exhibition was also organised showcasing the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits. The exhibition is meant to tell the younger generations of the persecution that their senior generations have undergone in Kashmir.
