Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 14: Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Jammu, J&K condemned the sacrilege act committed where in "Guru Granth Sahib and Gutkas" were disrespected in Punjab. As per press release, it states that any person who believes in Sikh faith cannot tolerate such type of mischievous actions. Many instances from history are evidence to the fact that whenever such Sikh ethics were violated and disrespected SAD raised the same with full force. The present dispensation of Punjab state had appointed Justice Ranjit Singh commission to look into all sacrilege act committed and submit the report. Punjab Govt. now has constituted a SIT for further enquiry in the matter and fixing responsibilities. SAD believed that who so ever is found guilty should be dealt with strongly under law of the land and also the Panthic supreme authority should punish those as per their past presidencies where even Maharaja Ranjit Singh the then ruler of Punjab was given punishment and lashings. SAD which was formed in early twenty's is the real representative of Sikh panth and has fought for the Sikh cause since its inception. It has launched several agitations and movements for the Sikh cause may it be Gurudwara Sudhar Lehar, Punjabi Subha agitation Anandpur Sahib resolution or even such movements. It has represented the Sikh cause of the community not only in India but living all over world. SAD is not the personal property of any individual or a family and is governed by proper by-laws, ethics and its constitution. Personalities like Master Tara Singh, Sant Fateh Singh, Sant Harcharan Singh Longwal, Gurcharan Singh Tohra and several other panth personalities have headed this organization from time to time. This organization is real politico - religious face of Sikh community and has represented the community from the time immemorial at centre and state levels. It has always come to be rescue of Sikhs when ever in trouble within or outside the country. State unit of Shiromani Akali Dal of J&K has come into existence even before partition and has been representing the Sikh masses of J&K state both politically and religiously. It has represented the different issues of Sikh masses of the state for their redressal and presently vigorously proceeding with the same enthusiasm and energy and shall continue to do so in future as well. State unit of Shiromani Akali Dal is of the opinion that several Akali Dal formations came into existence and vanished with the passage of time and even if any formation came into existence even then Shiromani Akali Dal will continue to work tirelessly for panthic cause with full force. Those who attended the press conference included Jathadar Mohinder Singh (President), Suchwant Singh.
