| SPIC MACAY performance at Kendriya Vidyalaya Miran Sahib, KV Central University Raya Suchani | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 14: On the 5th day of SPIC MACAY's Kendriya Vidyalaya series in the state, internationally acclaimed Hindustani Vocalist Pt. Ajay Pohankar mesmerised the children of KV Miran Sahib and KV Central University Raya Suchani who were awestruck with his charisma.
Pt. Ajay Pohankar was accompanied by his co-artists Omkar Agnihotri on Harmonium and Sachin Sharma on Tabla.
Maestro Pandit Ajay Pohankar is one of the living legends of Indian Classical Music. His career spans for more than 6 decades. Though he follows the Kirana and the Gwalior Gharana, his versatile singing abilities give him the mastery over the Patiala Gharana as well.
He is one of the most famous Thumri Exponents of the country.
Dr. Sapna K Sangra, State Chairperson SPIC MACAY and Dr. Seema Rohmetra, Coordinator Jammu region took the initiative of conducting performances in different Kendriya Vidyalayas in the State as by March 2019, more than 1100 concerts shall be held in the KVs across the country. SPIC MACAY entered into collaboration with KV Sangathan in 2014. |
