Delegation of Bar Association calls on Advisor to Governor BB Vyas

JAMMU, Sept 22: A delegation of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, led by its President B.S. Slathia, Sr. Advocate called upon the Advisor to the Governor of State of Jammu and Kashmir, B.B. Vyas at Guest House Canal Road, Jammu.
The delegation held a detailed discussion with B.B. Vyas and discussed various problems being confronted by the Association including the requirement of Library to the newly enrolled young lawyers' who are at the threshold of their professional career, framing of Insurance Policy by the Government extending insurance cover to the members of the Association including Mediclaim besides the conversion of sheds, opposite to the lawyers' canteen in District Court complex, for providing Bar Room facility to the members of the Association.
Slathia further brought to the notice of worthy Advisory Vyas that the office bearers of the Association had already had a detailed discussion pertaining to these issues with the Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Majid Bhat, who has also assured to take up the matter at an appropriate level.
Vyas after due deliberations with delegation of the Association very candidly agreed that the demands projected by the delegation are very genuine and assured the redressal of these demands at the earliest after holding discussion with all concerned .
The delegation also acknowledged and appreciated the untiring efforts and dedication of the State Administrative Council headed by His Excellency the Governor of the State Satya Pal Malik, in resolving the problems and issues confronting the people of the State. The delegation further appreciated and welcome the decision of the Governor to conduct the Panchayats and Local Bodies Elections in the State to strengthen the Democracy at Gross Root Level and commitment of the J&K State Police and other Security Forces in upholding the Rule of Law and maintaining the law and order for holding free and fair elections
Among others who were part of the delegation included Sachin Gupta, Vice President, Prem Sadotra, General Secretary, Himanshu Sharma, Joint Secretary, Chetan Misri, Treasurer and Bhanu Singh Slathia.
