| RHS Celebrates Maharaja Hari Singh 123rd Birth Anniversary | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 22: Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana celebrated 123rd birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji with great pomp and show.
On the occasion the principal of the school and staff actively participated. School principal Anita Bhatia lighted the lamp and garlanded the portrait of Maharaja Hari Singh ji. She threw light on the contribution of Maharaja Hari Singh ji for his state, describing him as the most visionary ruler of the state. Principal in her speech delivered reformatory measures which Maharaja Hari Singh ji under took in order to reform the condition of women in India and he also outlawed untouchability.
Sushma delivered her speech in Dogri highlighting the need of speaking the local language and she infused the sense of pride in students saying that we should be proud to be sharing the same land as the great Maharaja. Teachers presented a beautiful song composed by Sadre Riyasat Dr. Karan Singh in a melodious voice. |
