Jammu, Oct 8: State Pollution Control Board Regional Laboratory at Jammu got accreditation with ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification.
It was reportedly got the certification on the basis of Quality Management System of the Laboratory and Occupational Health and Safety Management System adopted by the Laboratory.
After a series of visits of experts from international level certifying agency M/s Indicium Pvt Ltd., Corporate Office, U.K having branch office, New Delhi (India) and on meeting the Gap analysis, the respective certifying agency assessed and found the regional laboratory of state pollution control board at Jammu to conform to the requirement of ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification for the regulatory bodies for recording and monitoring of air, water, noise and industrial effluents.
Chairman J&K,SPCB and Member Secretary,SPCB handed over the ISO and OHSAS accreditation certificates to Regional Director, Jammu Ms. Shally Ranjan (IFS) and Dr. Yash Paul Sr. Scientist, Head Labs and State Board Analyst who is also designated as EHS Head on achieving these certifications. |
