Poonch, Oct 8: Water crisis has deepened further as hundreds of villages falling in border belt including Balakote, Mankote and Krishna Ghati sector have been facing acute portable water shortage for the last quite some time, sources said here today
The people of villages falling under border belt have been running from pillar to post to get solved their problems but PHE Department Sub division Mendhar seems to be unmoved and least bothered about the problems of people, they said we have been living in forward posts near LoC and the natural resources of drinking water have already dried up or non functional, we need tanker service from the PHE department for our domestic purposes but our pleas go unheard they further said while talking to Early Times.
Meanwhile, Balakote front Chairman Zaheer Khan has urged the district authorities to take steps to mitigate the problem of people living in border belt. Not only common man our cattle also perish due to water crisis he added. |
