BVP organizes group song competition

Kathua, Oct 11: Bharat Vikas Parishad, Kathua unit organised National group song competition at Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua.
Eight (08) teams from different schools, both urban and rural , participated in the contest which held in two languages viz. Hindi and Sanskrit.
MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia was the Chief Guest. The audience, the dignitaries, members of the organisation, staff of the host school as well as the students and staff of participating schools enjoyed the musical event with interest and enthusiasm.
The Chief Guest while lauding the role of the participating schools, emphasised upon the need of inculcation of National Spirit and international brotherhood.
Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, the Chief Patron, briefed the audience about the aims and objectives of the organisation. G.S Katal, President BVP Kathua read out the welcome address.
Team from Learning Temple High School Kathua baged the 1st prize while the team of Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School and D.S Heritage Scholars School, Kathua occupied 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
The winning teams were given away trophies and the participating teams were given mementoes and certificates of participation by the Chief Guest. Vote of Thanks was extended by Ashok Kumar Gupta, Gen. Secy of the organisation.
The programme concluded with the chanting of National Anthem. Ritesh Katal, student of host school carried put the proceedings of the event.
The function was attended by members of the Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua branch viz. V.R Sharma, Ditt Kumar, Khem Raj, Hem Raj, Jai Gopal Sharma, Bodhraj Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Mahipal Sharma, Kapil Sharma, Sat Pal Badyal, Mrs. Kiran Paroch, Yog Raj Sharma, Guru Dutt Sharma, Dr. Sham Lal Padha and many more dignatries of the Locality. The duties of the Jury was performed effectively by Sunil Dutt Shad, Inder Paul Gupta and Rakesh Kumar Lovely.
