Jammu, Oct 11: In continuation to the drive against drug menace, Police of Sub Division RS Pura recovered 08 grams of Heroin like substance and arrested one accused.
Police spokesman said that Police party headed by SI Ved Parkash established a naka at Kotli Shah Doula near Shiv mandir RS Pura.
"During naka checking police party found one pedestrian on the way from Kullian towards RS Pura on seeing police party tried to flee away from the spot but the naka party successfully chased the said person", said spokesman adding that on questioning the said person disclosed his name as Jaspreet Singh resident of Makhanpur Miran Sahib RS Pura.
During his personal search 08 grams of heroin like substance recovered from the possession of the said accused person.
In this regard, a case under FIR No.137/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at police station RS Pura and investigation of the case entrusted to SI Sudesh Kumar.
The arrest of the said drug peddler/addicts made by police party under the close supervision of Inspector Bishnesh Kumar-SHO RS Pura, DySP Sagar Singh Salathia I/C SDPO RS Pura, RC Kotwal SP Hqr's Jammu and over all supervision of Vivek Gupta-SSP Jammu. |
