Inter Army Public School Quiz Competition held

JAMMU, Oct 11: Inter Army Public School Quiz Competition of the cluster was conducted at APS Damana. Dy Cdr Chenab Brigade was the Chief Guest and Principals of various Army Public Schools were the Guests of Honour. In this Competition APS Damana team clinched the first position.
The event commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a soulful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana. The quiz started on an enthusiastic note and the students seemed fully prepared to give tough competition to each other. Eight schools of Jammu region participated in the competition. There were six rounds in the quiz competition.
It started with a progressive question round in which students were asked to identify a personality based on three clues followed by visual connect round in which a set of pictures were shown on the screen and teams had to correctly identify what connected all the images. The third round was earth round in which the questions were based on the subjects of environment, ecology, wildlife, nature, energy and conservation. In the mixed faces round, faces of two well known personalities were merged and the teams had to identify both the personalities correctly. The fifth round was audio question round in which questions were based on audio track. Sixth and the last round was rapid fire round in which each team had to answer a set of 10 questions in maximum time of 60 seconds.
In the conclusion of the event, prizes were given away by the Chief Guest. The first prize was won by APS Damana which was followed by APS Kaluchak by scoring second position. The Chief Guest in his address congratulated the students on their wonderful performance and said that there is no loser in any competition as it's always a learning experience which adds to the knowledge and prepares one for facing the toughest challenges in life. He advised students to understand their strength and weaknesses and start visualizing their future to accomplish the goal. The school Principal, Dr Renu Gupta, congratulated the school team and the associated teachers for this splendous achievement.
