J&K Bank football Academy wins final of Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament

Jammu, Oct 12: Today final of the Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament organized by JJSF and sponsored by J&K Bank was played at GGM Science College Football ground. The match was played between Shaheen FC and J&K Bank Football Academy and J&K Bank football Academy won by 4-3 during tie-breaker.
Final match of the tournament was inaugurated by Ch. Lal Singh, MLA, Ex-Minister and Founder Chairman, Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan by releasing balloons and pigeons. Sudheer Gupta was the Guest of Honour on behalf of Chairman J&K Bank and Dr. J P Sharma, Director Research was the another Guest of Honour on behalf of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-J.
The final of the Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament was witnessed by Jam Packed gathering and both the teams fought tooth and nail. No team could score any goal in both the halfs and the match was decided during tie-breaker. During tie-breaker J&K Bank Football Academy won the match by 4-3.
Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, Pushvinder Singh, President JJSF and Chairman, Organising Committee thanked the administration of GGM Science College including Dr. Satinder Singh, Principal and Mahesh Sharma, Physical Director of the College. He said that without the support of the college administration, the said event could not be made successful. He also thanked JKFA for its cooperation.
The match was officiated by the referees namely Dheeraj Meenia as Centre Referee, Dil Bahadur and Rahul Sharma as Assistant Referees and Suresh Gupta as Fourth Referee.
JJSF had also arranged a Dogra Bhandara for the spectators which was served after the match to guests and all the spectators.
