| New decetralisation of forces in Kashmir to maintain peace | | | The Government has
supported the decentralisation of security forces so that the level of violence, witnessed during the last one year, was tackled to ensure peace. After the formation of the decentralization plan it is believed that regular armed attacks on the police posts and stations may dwindle because of the maximum coordination among the Army, police and the other security agencies. Under the plan emphasis would not be laid on the Governor's advice who had stated that the Government wants to kill terrorism but without killing terrorists. The security forces believe in a simple thesis that the militants have no business to disturb peace in Kashmir, and the security forces here to break their anti-peace moves. It is right that security forces maintain coordination so that this coordination is there right from the police stations to the district and state level. And militants cash on the lack of coordination among the security forces and that could be the reason for armed attacks on the police with the sole motto of demoralizing the force and snatch weapons. Under the new plan the Army would be available for the protection of the police and the police may be available to protect the security forces.. The level of violence has escalated during the last one year and that is the reason for framing the decentralization of forces plan. |
