							  | | Drug peddler arrested  with 10 grams Heroin |  |  |  |  |  | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 17: In continuation to the drive against drugs launched by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu-Vivek Gupta, today city police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 grams heroin from his possession.
 Police spokesman said that today during routine checking at SMGS Hospital road near Indira Chowk, police party intercepted a pedestrian who was found moving suspiciously.  Police said that the pedestrain established hisnidentity as Vikrant Gupta of  Ward NO. 9 Kathua.
 Spokesman further said that on his personal search 10 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession and was accordingly seized on spot.
 Accordingly, a case under FIR no.62/2018 under section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered at City police station Jammu.
 The arrest and recovery was made by police party of police post SMGS headed by SI Manoj Kumar-incharge police post SMGS under the supervision of Inspector Vishal Sharma-SHO City and SDPO City- North Varun Jandial and Amritpal Singh SP City- North Jammu.
