Jammu, Oct 19: Dr. Banarsi Lal, Incharge, senior scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been selected for the best researcher award by the Education Expo TV (EET CRS) in the 3rd Academic Brand Awards-2018 the result of which was declared today.
Academic Brand Awards research panel selected Dr. Banarsi for the prestigious Best Researcher Award on the basis of his research papers as first author, books as first author, book chapters as first author, popular and research articles as first author, success stories as first author, case studies as first author, Radio/TV talks, invited talks, trainings imparted, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, research and extension technologies refined, developed and disseminated, eco-friendly agriculture etc. for the welfare of the farming community.
Dr. Banarsi, a Gold Medalist and an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has developed an innovative Mathematical Communication Model which has been highly appreciated at national and international level. Dr.Banarsi has been working at KVK, Reasi for more than 11 years and upgrading the farming community with the new and innovative agricultural technologies. He has written more than 490 publications as research papers in national and international journals, technical bulletins, leaflets, folders, books and book chapters, popular and research articles, success stories/case studies, training manuals etc. |
