Jammu, Oct 19: Miran Sahib police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 6 gram heroin from his possession.
Police spokesman said that today, Police party of Police station Miran Sahib established a naka at Kullian for checking and frisking of vehicles and pedestrian.
"During checking and frisking one person coming from Kirpind towards Kullian stopped on Naka Point and while questioning he disclosed his name as Sartaj Singh of Simbal Camp, Tehsil R S Pura, Jammu", said spokesman. He further said that on his personnel search, 6 grams heroin (chitta) was recovered from their possession.
In this connection a case under FIR No. 146/2018 under section 8/21/22/NDPS Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station.
The accused person/drug peddler was formally arrested and consignment of heroin has been seized accordingly.
The arrest and recovery has been made by Inspector Ajit Singh-SHO Police Station Miran Sahib assisted by ASI Yougal Kishore incharge Border Police Post Kullian under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura- Sourav Prashar. |
