Deptt of Edu Studies of CUJ visits Advaita Ashram

Jammu, Nov 16: Eight students from Central University of Jammu from the Department of Educational Studies visited Sri Advaita Ashram, located in Patti village of Samba. Sri Sri 1008 Swami Vedacharya Aksharanand ji has delivered lecture on "The Usefulness of Vedanta in the present perspective" . This program was conducted by Prof. Dr. Ritu Bakshi, Dr. Asit Minister, Shri Romesh Chandra J., faculty of Central University of Jammu. Describing about Veda Vedanta in the beginning, Swamiji said that the Vedas have full knowledge of the world.
Vedas are useful in today's scientific era. Swamiji, while guiding the students, said that they should respect their elders, and with our elder's experience, we can go ahead in life. He told about the four Vedas. Vedanta is the basic element, Swami ji told. Vedas are indeed 'apauruSheya' i.e., 'not authored by humans'. Vedas does not created by any Man, and they are beyong time boundaries. Vedas are not for any single religion. Vedas are for everyone. According to Vedas, the real education is one which liberates us from the bondage of slavery. While highlighting today's education Swamiji said that today's education is a bondage. But according to the Vedas, education is the one which free us from all the bonds. Swamiji became passionate during his enlightenment that he did a lot of teaching work too.
He told the teachers of the Central University that learning is a lifelong process.
