Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 19: Terming killing of two youth by militants in south Kashmir in separate incidents as terror crime, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Range, S P Pani said strict action will be taken against anyone who uploads or shares 'execution videos' on social media.
Killing of two youth is a reflection of terror crimes and gruesome crimes. Anyone who propagates the videos of the killing of youth on social media is also committing a crime," Pani told reports after the wreath laying ceremony of a CRPF Head Constable, who was killed in a militant attack on Sunday in Pulwama, at RTC CRPF Humhama.
Execution videos of two youth from south Kashmir, who were reportedly killed by militants, were uploaded on social media, ringing alarm bells among security force agencies. The militants have alleged that the duo used to provide information to security forces about the whereabouts of ultras.
He said investigation has been initiated and anyone found propagating such videos will be dealt according to the law. "There are some handles (Facebook and WhatsApp) through which such videos are being uploaded and spread. We will trace such people who are handing these accounts and nail them," he said.
