Family seeks donation for ailing patient

JAMMU, Nov 19: Chanchla Devi, a resident of Dharamkote (Billawar) is acutely suffering from Chronic Kidney disease (CKD Stage-5) and presently undergoing dialysis treatment two times per week at Gandhi Nagar Government Hospital Jammu. She had already referred to Dayanand Medical College (Ludhiana) and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Hospital (Katra). Chanchla Devi needs financial support.
She appeals to Jammu citizens for donate upto Rs. 500 /- (one time only) as her husband is dependent on low income contractual worker and their three children are studying in Middle and Secondary school levels.
Approximately Rs. 10,000 to 12,000/- per month expenditures incurred on kidney related medicines, Erythropoitein IU injections, diagnostic tests including travel costs from Billawar to Jammu and return Jammu to Billawar.
As the matter has been already informed to the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Satya Paul Malik in the last month October-2018 concerning this hectic case.
Under the dynamic leadership of Governor, the J&K Government had sanctioned for an amount of Rs. 50000 /- (rupees fifty thousand) as Financial assistance in favour to Chanchla Devi under direct benefit transfer.
The sanctioned amount is limited to Chanchla Devi for her weekly medical treatments as dialysis related medicines and injections are highly-priced expensive.
