NYK Kathua organizes distt level declamation contest

KATHUA, Nov 20: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India is organizing declamation contest on the topic "Patriotism & National Building" at District, State & National level as part of Republic Day Celebration, 2019, to inculcate the spirit of "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" and sensitize youth for their active participation in Republic Day 2019 celebrations and Strengthen the spirit of Nationalism and Patriotism.
In this connection, district level declamation contest was organized by NYK Kathua in Rajiv Gandhi College of Education today. In District Level Declamation contest, 17 youth participants hailing from 8 blocks of District Kathua participated and expressed their views on various aspects of patriotism and nation building in present scenario, challenges, duties and responsibilities of citizens of India especially youth.
In District Level declamation contest, Himanshika Sharma from GLDM College Hiranagar was adjudged 1st and awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000. She shall represent District Kathua for participation in State Level Declamation Contest at Jammu. Anjali Andotra from from New Age College, Phinter Billawar stood 2nd and got Rs 2000 as cash prize and a citation certificate. Mandeep Kour from Rajiv Gandhi College adjudged 3rd and awarded Rs 1000 as cash prize while Inderjeet from Barnoti was given consolation award.
