JAMMU, Nov 24: A three days All India Pranayam Prashikshan Shiver is underway at Bhartiya Yog Sansthan Yog Ashram Gole Gujral, Jammu from 23rd to 25th November 2018. A total of 620 Yog Adhikaries spread across the length and breadth of the country, representing 23 states, are participating in the Shiver.
Advisor to the Governor, K K Sharma visited the Ashram and participated in the morning Yog Sadhana. He was welcomed by Satyapal President, Bharitiya Yog Sansthan, Jammu. Yog Acharya Desh Raj, General Secretary Bhartiya Yog Sansthan while introducing the organization said that Sansthan is a non-sectarian, apolitical, social, cultural and non-profit making organization, serving the humanity/aspirants both within and outside India for more than 52 years now through a network of over 3500 Kendras.
The Organization has dedicated itself to the cause of teaching Yoga to people free of any cost. The mission "Jio aur Jivan do" is aimed at making people happy and healthy through Yoga, an ancient Indian science for physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Yoga at these centers is taught free of cost daily by Expert Volunteer (Shikshaks) of the Sansthan. These classes are attended by a large number of people, both men and women, of all age groups on regular basis.
Speaking on the occasion Advisor K K Sharma, appreciated the role played by the Yog Sansthan for involving lakhs of people in daily Yog Abyas. He said that it is an established fact that Yog is journey of self, through self, to the self. It adds years to the life of the practioner and also life to ones years, he said. Yog is gift to the nation as it helps in transformation of individual for leading a balanced life, he said. He said it would be better if young minds are roped in for daily practice of yoga otherwise they get entangled in cycle of educational system aimed at getting into some profession, some how. He was happy to note that Bhartiya Yog Sanasthan is imparting Yoga to people regularly free of cost across the nation and maintaining purity in its operations.
