BVP conducts Bharat Ko Jano quiz competition

JAMMU, Nov 24: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Jammu Kashmir Prant conducted Bharat Ko Jano quiz competition here today at Institution of Engineers, Channi Himmat. On this occasion Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation was chief guest where as Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC was guest of honour.
The competition commenced with lighting of traditional lamp by chief guest and guest of honour.
Amita Sharma, Prant President BVP threw light on the objectives of Bharat Vikas Parishad and various achievements of BVP. Chief Guest lauded the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad which work for Sanskars and is running various Sewa Projects. 14 teams from various branches of BVP participated in Senior Category and 14 Teams in Junior category.
In neck to neck competition, JK Montessori School Talab Tillo bagged 1st prize whereas DAV School, Kathua got 2nd prize and ASN Hr Sec School, Channi Himmat settled with 3rd prize. In another competition in junior category, Learning Temple School, Kathua bagged 1st Prize whereas Maharishi Vidhya Mandir, Sainik Colony and KV No.1 Gandhi Nagar got 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. Dr Santosh Gupta, Regional Secretary, Sanskars acted as observer of the programme and highlighted the need of inculcating Sanskars among youth and gave a detailed lecture on Sanskars and expressed satisfaction over the competition. It was informed that teams who stood 1st will be participating at Regional Level Competition to be held in Kurukshetra on 2nd December.
