Pak stooges orchestrating evening protests

JAMMU, Dec 5: The so-called Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the so-called JKLF chief Yasin Malik is leaving no stone unturned to appease their bosses sitting across the Line of Control.
For the past three days the JKLF and Hurriyat activists are staging candle light protests in different parts of the Valley that too under the very nose of the police. The so called leadership just a few days ago had announced that it would observe the world human rights week and had asked people to hit the streets and stage protests.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It's strange that authorities are allowing these people to stage protests that too in the evenings. If Police keep on acting as mute spectator these protests can spill over to other places and turn into a major law and order problem."
He said that despite Geelani, Mirwaiz and Yasin Malik being under detention their henchmen are orchestrating street protests and are trying to instigate the people to come out from their homes and join them.
A Kashmir watcher said that it has been proven beyond doubt that Pakistan stooges active in the Valley have got the instructions from their handlers to somehow disrupt the normal life in the Valley. "The trouble mongers sitting in PoK and Pakistan are aware about the fact that militants are on the run as the security forces have launched a major counter offensive against them. The top militant commanders have been eliminated and the local recruitment has come down to zero. Now Pak stooges are trying to activate the agitational terrorism in the Valley," he added.
A politician said that separatists are trying to build the momentum ahead of January 20 as the Apex Court is all set to hear the pleas challenging the Article 35A, which provides special privileges to the permanent residents of J&K. "They (separatists) know it very well that their poll boycott call has not worked and the seven phases of panchayat polls have passed off peacefully. Now they want to trigger yet another row by calling for street protests," he added.
An official said that they are very well aware about the activities of the separatists and police and other security agencies are keeping a watch. "During the past three days we have rounded up many ring leaders, who were orchestrating these protests," he added.
The official said that separatists have failed to mobilize the people and now they are using children and women for staging protests. "We won't allow separatists to disturb the law and order in the Valley," the official added.
