JAMMU, Dec 7: In a get-together of a colourful function organized by SC and other weaker sections of the society at the venue of Dr B.R.Ambedkar memorial Convent School Kuleed Kishtwar to pay handsome tributes to the Architect of the Indian Constitution Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 63rd death anniversary today the 6th of Dec 2018.
On the occasion, various speakers spoke volumes on the meritorious life and outstanding achievements of the great departed personality to remain unforgettable for all times to come who worked tirelessly for unity, brotherhood, social equilibrium ,fraternity and in particular for eradication of social evils, caste, frenzy and fobia .
Having sailed through various odds, pushes and pulls, stresses and strains, vicissitudes and dogmatisms of the society he advocated equal social status to one and all. He favoured a uniform homogeneous transparent society without caste based kinks .By incorporating provisions of the equality before law in the constitution irrespective of caste creed ,colour or religion he legally uprooted the evil and menace of untouchability from the society and the same was made as the punishable offence
He was thus a great social reformer of mankind. A very highly qualified personality with numerous degrees to his credit having spent his part of career in the western countries,he was entrusted with the important task of framing the Indian constitution the largest democracy of the world which he did with utmost care and responsibility .He always stood for the unity, integrity and solidarity of the Nation and was a staunch opposer of the separatists. He remained as Law-Minister of India and was decorated with the highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna in 1991. He was a staunch believer of Buddhism. With his departure from this world in Dec 1956 we all lost a great soul , educationist, humanitarian , philanthropist , Jurist, revolutionary , an embodiment of peace and paragon of human values and patriotism and above all a Messiah of the depressed ,Dalits and downtrodden .
All in the function took a pledge to mould the younger generation towards true education, fraternity love and affection and patriotism and moral values. The function was presided over by D.R.Bhagat Rtd Joint Director Agri.
The prominent speakers were Gian Chand Bhagat, J.R. Aryan Rtd XEN, who is Sr Vice President of All J&K SC/ST Rtd Employees Forum, Sh D.R. Bhagat, Rtd. Subedar and others
