Discrimination continues with Jammu, Ladakh in BJP rule too
12/7/2018 10:45:29 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 7: The BJP which had all over the years claimed tdhat it is fighting against regional discrimination with Jammu region after coming to power had failed to come to the expectations of the people.
The party according to sources instead of coming to the expectations of the people has become B team of Congress. Sources said BJP leadership has not only failed to give due share to Jammu and Ladakh regions in employment but also failed to fulfill the promises made grant of UT status to Ladakh region besides inclusion of Bhoti language into Eighth schedule of Indian Constitution, opening of Kalash Mansarovar road via Ladakh, opening of Central University, Medical College and Women College in Ladakh.
The party failed to give justice to Jammu region as well especially in employment sector. There are allegations that SPSC in its recently published list has not shown farness to candidates from Jammu region and has instead given lion's share to Kashmir Valley, sources added.
Sources said the BJP which got a thumping mandate in last Lok Sabha and Assembly elections has too shown inclination to promote Kashmir and Kashmir cause. The appointment of Hina Bhat as VC of Khadi Board has come in for sharp criticism and critics of BJP have taken party to task for ignoring the Jammu.
Sources said resentment is brewing in BJP circles and senior party cadre from the region feels neglected. Sources said BJP cadres have also raised their voice against the party decision and accused the leadership of engaging outsiders after ignoring them.
