HC restrains Govt from taking any action against KVIB appointments 12/7/2018 10:36:48 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has put a rider on the state government over taking any action against the report of the enquiry committee, constituted by state government following allegations against the appointments in the Khadi Village and Industrial Board (KVIB). In response to a petition filed by appointees on various posts in the KVIB, the High Court Bench of Justice Sanjeev Kumar directed the state government to file objections till the next date of hearing and restricting it from cancelling the appointments. "The appointments of the petitioners on their respective posts shall not be cancelled/terminated in pursuance or otherwise of report, if any, submitted by High Level Enquiry Committee constituted vide Government Order number 462-GAD of 2018, dated 19th of March 2018, otherwise than by following due process of law", the HC order reads. The directions were issued by HC in response to petition titled Imran Assadullah Dar and others vs State of J&K and others, according to which the petitioners had claimed that they were appointed as Assistant Executive Officers, Publicity Officers and Junior Statistical Officers in Khadi Village and Industrial Board in pursuance to proper selection procedure. "But on specific complaints, the government constituted a three member penal enquiry committee, which has submitted its report without any notice to respondents, the government is mulling to cancel all the appointments, as per some media reports ", the petitioners had claimed. The petitioners had submitted before the HC bench that their appointments, which have been made pursuant to proper selection process, cannot be cancelled by the government unilaterally without even complying with principles of natural justice.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
