Jammu, Dec 13: The students of J P World School represented the State at National Level Inter-School Crossword Contest, which was held at KV No. 2 Daula Kuan, New Delhi , from 10th to 12th December. Aarav Vaid and Sohail-ur-Rehman of class 11th of the school made it to the Grand Finale of the Cryptic Crossword Competition (CCCC). The JPians were one among the 40 top-cryptic solvers from all over India. The Cryptic Crossword competition is a two-phase contest, which is conducted in capital cities of the states. The contest brings brightest students from across the country on one competitive platform and is a fun-based learning tool which equips the students with a formidable vocabulary, power of reasoning, ability to draw quick inferences and lateral thinking. Above all, it imparts a feeling of achievement and builds self-confidence, which are crucial ingredients in carving out bright career in the age of cut- throat competition. Earlier, in Phase-1, held at Heritage School, Jammu, these two students outdid all the other contestants form different parts of J&K and added one more feather in the cap of J.P World School by securing first place in first phase of the competition. The students were escorted to the Grand Finale by Harpreet Singh. The school principal, Jitinder Singh Hundal applauded the hard work of the students and their teachers and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. |
