Early Times Report

Baramulla, Dec 13: Another PDP leader and retired IPS officer Raja Ajaz Ali Khan from Uri constituency of Baramulla district tendered his resignation to the party president on Thursday. He had joined the party in 2014 during assembly elections. It is learnt that all the workers including block presidents of PDP from Uri constituency have decided to quit the party after its leader sent his resignation letter to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday, said sources.
Aijaz Ali Khan S/O Mohammad Amin Khan R/O Phelipora Uri retired Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer has served as IGP crime. "Te repeated request of the deputations of the party, having called on you to empower Uri constituency had fallen on deaf ears. Your colleagues in the cabinet did not miss a single opportunity to humiliate our workers by siding with the opposition leaders in the area," reads the resignation letter sent by Ali. They said that the PDP has completely failed to redress the problems of people of this border town on all fronts, adding they have decided to quit the party at an earliest.
Notably in last few weeks, the three prominent leaders of PDP have resigned from their party. On Dec 10, a senior PDP leader and former MLA Gulmarg, Mohammad Abbas Wani also gave his resignation to the party high command today.
The resignations came after the former Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu and former MLA Zadibal, Abid Ansari, and former MLA Pattan resigned from the basic membership of the party.
Meanwhile if sources are to be believed they said that, in the coming days, another PDP leader from north Kashmir is going to call a press conference in Srinagar and announce that he would be joining National Conference.
