Basohli also falls in Udhampur Doda Kathua parliamentary constituency
12/17/2018 9:02:34 PM
Shiv Kumar Padha Basohli

In order to translate the resolve and commitment of Narinder Modi, Prime Minister of India for Equitable and Inclusive development in the country. The people of Jammu and Kashmir had great aspirations with the BJP and PDP coalition government in the state because they thought that the formation of the coalition government will throw open the flood gates for the equal opportunities of employment, distribution of funds and equitable share in the developmental process for all the three region of the state. The whole state in general and the Jammu and Ladakh regions in particular hoped for the non prejudiced un biased development in both the horizontal and vertical directions but soon after the drums of the victory became silent the aspirations of the people started collapsing just like the pyramid of the cards because the partisan attitude and incapable party organization, novice MLAs, MPs and Ministers could not prove their worth and capability in delivering goods to the minimum levels of the expectations of the people in the state. While our MLAs and the worthy ministers considered Jammu city and its people the whole state in the matters of development and appointments in the party cadre or establishment of the prestigious institutions, the worthy MP of Udhampur Kathua and Doda constituency concentrated his efforts and sympathies on his home town Doda or the district headquarters or the assembly constituencies of his fellow politicians. Basohli constituency, which has been experiencing deliberate discrimination and neglect since2014 he took over as the MOS in PMo office. Worthy Minister has neither paid any official visit to Basohli nor had organized any public durbar or addressed the people on any occasion. Now when the 2019 parliamentary elections are quite at the threshold, not even one pre election promises has been fulfilled till date. Leaving aside fulfilling the pre election promises of making Basohli a heritage town, establishing Univerisity campus, restoration of KV to Basohli, establishing NCERT resourse center at Basohli. FM centre, Railway line, community center, herbal garden etc. The hon'ble minister has not cared to help allot any one prestigious institutions to Basohli or dared to part with the any institution from his share for youth's utility rather he has tried to feather his own assembly constituency by taking away all that he could lays his hands upon. The people of Basohli are not jealous with The current announcements about the opening of one Ayush 50 beddd hospital and IHAMP in Doda, FM station and other numberless boons for the area but expect at least their due share of development. It is worth mentioning here that our hon'ble MP got 95% of the total polled votes from the Basohli constituency but in spite of all that our beloved minister has never cared to come to the voters and extend thanks to them for his victory in 2014. The gullible people need nothing but one glimpse of their MP before they go for the next elections. It is pertinent to remind Dr. Sahib that Basohli is also an integral part of Udhampur Doda and Kathua parliamentary constituency and has also got some share in MPLAd, and in equitable and inclusive development. Moreover it needs be made clear that Basohli has got immense potential for tourism ayurvda Pashmina industry and in other fields also, neglecting and discriminating Basohli will be easily construed as an injustice with the state and the people.
